ABOUT THIS DIGITAL GUIDEPennsylvania Wine
The options are endless
Each new vintage allows Winemakers in PA to take on traditional winemaking processes and experiment with new methods. Over 50 varieties of grapes grow in PA, including traditional European wine grapes Vitis Vinifera (Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris, etc.) to French-American Hybrids (Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin, etc.) to Native grapes Vitis Labrusca (Niagara, Concord, etc.). These varieties are made into wines of varying styles (sparkling, still, fortified) and range in all levels of sweetness (Dry <1% Residual Sugar to Sweet >4% Residual Sugar). Pennsylvania also has wine that is made from honey and fruit.

Pairing Wine & Cheese
Think regionally when it comes to pairing wine and cheese. The immediate surroundings of the Commonwealth offers some of the best areas for growing grapes and offers a vast landscape for milk and cheese production.
